Change the SSID of the Wi-Fi network on the Sweex router

If you need to edit the SSID of your wireless network, you can do it through the administration panel. Follow the method mentioned above to access the panel and then make the appropriate settings.

  1. Log in to your router’s Control Panel first. The method has already been mentioned and makes it easy to log in.
  2. Once inside, navigate to the home page and select the Wireless option located in the left column.
  3. On the next page, look for the Network Name (SSID) section, where you will find your current SSID.
  4. Enter the desired new SSID in the appropriate field.
  5. Finally, click Apply to save the settings. After clicking Apply, the router will reboot automatically and the SSID will be updated upon reboot.

Making adjustments to the router password is possible through the control panel. Follow the following steps to carry out the modification:

  1. Log in to the Router Control Panel following the method mentioned above.
  2. Once inside, navigate to the home page and click on the ‘Wireless’ option in the left column.
  3. Make sure encryption is set to WPA2-PSK.
  4. Locate the ‘WPA Pre-Shared Key’ field. Here, enter your new WiFi password, which must be between 8 and 63 characters, including letters, numbers, and special symbols.
  5. After entering the new password, click ‘Apply’ to save the changes.
  6. The router will reboot automatically. Once rebooted, connect to the WiFi network using the new password.
