Change the SSID of the Wi-Fi network on the Netopia router

If you prefer to adjust the SSID of your WiFi network, you can do so in the administration panel. Use the method explained above to access the panel and then modify the SSID as necessary.

  1. Log in to your router’s Control Panel first. The method has been mentioned previously and makes the login process easier.
  2. Once inside, navigate to the home page and select the Wireless option located in the left column.
  3. On the next page, find the Network Name (SSID) section, where you will find your current SSID.

  2. Once inside, go to the home page and select the ‘Wireless’ option located in the left column.
  3. Verify that encryption is set to WPA2-PSK.
  4. Locate the ‘WPA Pre-Shared Key’ field. Enter your new WiFi password here, which must be between 8 and 63 characters, including letters, numbers and special symbols.
  5. After entering the new password, Click ‘Apply’ to save the changes.

The router will reboot automatically. After the reset, connect your devices to the WiFi network using the new password.
